Spicy Crab Dip - The Cinderella Story in the Snack Bracket

March Madness is here, and whether your bracket is already busted or you’re riding high on a Cinderella story, one thing’s for certain: you need a snack that goes hard in the paint. This Spicy Crab Dip is creamy, tangy, loaded with premium lump crab, and finished with just enough heat to keep you hitting that chip like it’s a buzzer beater.

Perfect for watching games, hosting friends, or just flexing on the appetizer table — this dip is a #1 seed in the snack bracket.

Ingredients:

 • 16 oz full-fat cream cheese (2 bricks)
 • 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, jack, or a spicy blend works great)
 • ½ cup mayo (Duke’s preferred)
 • 1 cup sour cream
 • 2 Tbsp spicy brown mustard
 • Juice of 1 whole lemon
 • 2 Tbsp Old Bay (start here, adjust to taste)
 • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
 • 2 lbs lump crab meat (2 containers – don’t skimp on quality here)
 • 1 Tbsp Black Market Saucier Garlic Habanero Hot Sauce
 • ¼ cup garlic powder
 • ¼ cup onion powder
 • Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. This dip needs a little heat before it brings its own.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whip the cream cheese until smooth. This helps everything blend like a well-coached team.

3. Fold in the shredded cheese, mayo, sour cream, and spicy brown mustard. Stir until your lineup is looking creamy and cohesive.

4. Add in the lemon juice, Old Bay, Worcestershire, garlic habanero hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Don’t forget to season with salt to taste — remember, crab brings some natural saltiness, so taste as you go.

5. Gently fold in the lump crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much. You want those beautiful chunks to shine through like a star player in the final minutes.

6. Transfer the dip into a baking dish and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbling and golden around the edges.

7. Optional but highly recommended: throw on a few extra shakes of Old Bay or a drizzle of hot sauce right out of the oven for some bonus points.

How to Serve It

This dip is built to win in any setting — serve it hot with:

Toasted baguette slices

Crackers

Tortilla chips

Veggie sticks (if you’re feeling a little less chaotic)

Pro Tip: Leftovers (if any survive) make a killer breakfast spread the next day on a toasted everything bagel. Trust us.
